Overview

The opportunity

The problem

Researchers often need an experienced outside view — on a hypothesis, a protocol, a docking study or a thesis method — but independent scientific consulting is hard to find, and much of what exists overpromises results or blurs the line on authorship.

Our answer

A consultancy site where every service states what the client receives, what is needed from them, the limits of the work and what is not done. Prices stay unpublished until approved, and the site’s own tests reject promised results, fake ratings and any claim of facilities it does not have.

Who it serves

  • Postgraduate and early-career researchers
  • Principal investigators preparing projects or grants
  • Biotechnology and product companies planning R&D
  • Students preparing international scholarship applications

Its place in Trasportos

Our research-services line: expert work led by a practising scientist, delivered through a platform we engineer and operate.

What makes it distinct

01

Seven service lines

Scientific consulting, computational biology and bioinformatics, wet-lab strategy, thesis support, scholarships and mentorship, data analytics and automation, and institutional services.

02

Grounded in a publication record

Research areas and case studies are built from published work, and every DOI is checked against Crossref before it is linked.

03

Confidential enquiries that really arrive

The enquiry form posts to a Google Apps Script backend that writes to a sheet, and only shows success when the backend returns a reference number.

04

Integrity built into the content

An academic-integrity policy and a research-data policy sit beside the services; automated tests enforce the wording rules.

Objective

Give an independent scientific consultancy a credible, policy-backed web presence that can be launched and run by a two-person team.

Implementation

  1. Content model covering people, services, packages, research areas, publications and policies; every page is generated from it.

  2. Enquiry backend on Google Apps Script with server-side validation, writing to a private sheet.

  3. Consent-gated analytics, preview builds that are noindex everywhere, and a production package that refuses to build without a real domain.

  4. Automated QA: type checks, unit tests on content rules, Playwright browser tests including accessibility, and Lighthouse reports.

  5. A DOI checker that re-verifies every publication link against Crossref.

Current state

Built and passing its QA suite. Launch waits on the domain, published prices and the owners’ confirmations listed in its decisions register.

Outcome

No outcome figures are published yet. We will add them here once they are verified and the venture is ready to share them.
